Last week my mother, sister and I reserved meals at Chick-fil-A. (The business was giving away sample meals. You select the time and location you plan to visit and they provide the entrée free of cost.) We went this morning with plans to eat in at the Mishawaka, Indiana, Chick-fil-A. It’s owned and managed by Kathy and Brian Wonderly. It was the best fast food experience I’ve ever had.
It was slightly busy, but not overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked if we would be eating in or taking our meal to go. We told them we planned to eat in and were walked to a table which was covered with a white tablecloth and red place settings. There was a dish of after dinner mints sitting in a bowl in the center of the table, a September calendar of events and an invitation to Pirate Night on the 9th sat on the table as well.
The waitress surprised us with wonderful news. Because we chose to eat in, Chick-fil-A would provide a complete meal for each of us. We were able to choose a drink (soda, tea or coffee) and a side dish (fresh fruit, hash browns or yogurt) which was served with the entrée we selected when making our online reservation. Toward the end of our visit, a staff member walked around passing out stuffed cows, each of which had a coupon for a free sandwich stapled to it.
The staff went out of its way to ensure we had full cups and were satisfied with our meals. It worked. I won’t need a free coupon to return. I’ll be visiting the restaurant soon. There are still plenty of open reservations available. Go get yours today. If you’ve already eaten there, what did you think? Good or bad experience, I’d love to hear about it.
